Races will be started in accordance with racing Rule 26.1, System 2, with classes starting at five (5) minute intervals. All yachts shall sail by the Race Committee boat to be recognized prior to the Warning Signal. Yachts whose preparatory signal has not been made must keep clear of yachts racing. The order of starts will be Reverse EXCEPT for Race #5 & #6 at which time the order of starts will be PHRF A, PHRF B. Courses Recall Time Limit Protests Protest hearings for the first, fifth, sixth and seventh races will be held after the race in approximately the order of receipt. Protests shall be submitted to the Race Committee within one hour after the Race Committee arrives at the Post Race Party location. Protest hearings for the second, third and fourth race will be held on the first Thursday following the race at 7:00 P.M. at a pre-arranged location. Protests shall be submitted to the Race Committee by 5"00 P.M. on the first Monday following the race via FAX or delivery to Fred Masino. Scoring A DNF is awarded points appropriate to the last place boat in the class if all boats were to finish for the given race. A DNC is equal to a DNF plus one and a DSQ is equal to a DNF plus two. A DSQ must be used to calculate the series. The race may be thrown out but not the penalty points. Trophies Rules Spinnakers are prohibited in the harbor and entrance channel. An imaginary line between the end of the channel jetties defines the entrance channel. Yachts that retire from a race shall notify the Race Committee by the time limit specified for the race via VHF radio or by disqualified for that race and/or the balance of the series.
